Wabamun School - Shelter-in-Place

Wabamun School engaged in a lockdown scenario Thursday morning near the beginning of the school day while dealing with a matter involving a student. The following was provided to parents and guardians as an update.

Acting with an abundance of caution, and to respect the privacy of the individual involved, students were asked to remain in their classrooms for a short period of time. As always, in accordance with the Education Act, Wabamun School respects the privacy of individuals in circumstances like this. School staff will work closely with the families of students to ensure that they are supported following this event.

At Parkland School Division, the safety and well-being of all students is of the utmost priority. A big thank you goes out to staff and students for their cooperation on this matter.
